I doubt the next gen GT-R will have an allround windowline that is the same size of the rear glass section of a prius.

If this is what cars will look like in the future then I'll take the next space ship to Mars.

This looks more like the original design concept for the R35. Nissan's designs always start as more bulbous and less glass.

I am worried for future car designs, also I think they may have copied ford.

There is just something wrong with the angle , shape , perspective... everything.
Carscoop renders are usually quite good and close to the real thing
But this
pls no

The idiots (all of them) who keep trying to render a new R35 clearly have not been looking back at previous approaches to the GT-R, or Nissan's current design trend.
While the car will be new-ish, I bet the R36 is going to look about 60-70% identical to the R35. The only changes will be some front grill work (I'm thinking winglets like a 458, better cooling/airflow) a more pronounced front splitter, a redesigned rear spoiler (to coincide with any proportion changes) that may be electronicaly controlled, a lower hood/engine mounting (if possible) and redesigned behind-the-wheel arches/fenders. The rest, such as roofline, beltline, doors, rear, rocker panels, will all be identical.
Nissan doesn't change the design of something unless it's functional.

Exactly ! Its going to be pretty similar, although I would say the interior may get a huge overhall. Some of the mockups out there are ridiculous, tomorrow I may do a mock up of a possible design.

That's very badly drawn, but the basic styling ideas will probably be quite similar, like the L-shaped headlights, re-done grille and similar roof and wing. I don't think they'll put a big air scoop in the side, though. It's front-engined!

True. Even though they're two generations apart, much of the R34 looks pretty much the same as the R32, for example.
And that's actually a good thing, much better than... whatever it is they rendered up there.

The only reason the R35 is so different from the R34 is because a lot of new technology came out in between them, and that tech was suddenly accessible for a $100,000 car, instead of a $50,000 car.

"You know what the problem with the gt-r is? The hood is too goddamn low and sporty looking. We need something more F-150 like for the front end"
